Producing Artistic Director Awarded Charlotte Street Residency

The Charlotte Street Foundation has been a major supporter of artists in the Kansas City metro and their projects for nearly 20 years.

Recently, CSF selected Whim's Producing Artistic Director, Kevin King, to join 29 other visual artists, writers, and performing artists in their Studio Residency program. King's focus will be on writing new plays and further developing his existing works.

The Studio Residency program furthers Charlotte Street’s mission of the development of regional artists. It provides free studio space, rehearsal space, and related support for exceptional artists of all disciplines to develop their work, networks, and careers. Artists in the program will be featured in the annual open studios weekend, have exhibition and performance opportunities at Charlotte Street’s Paragraph Gallery & Project Space, and will participate in a mentorship program that pairs residents with established artists and arts professionals from the community, and related career development support.
